I like to surround myself with stories. Things that have meaning in my world. So, I naturally gravitated to the Cubic 2-Drawer Side Table. Each one is hand-crafted, the design hand-stamped, which makes them unique artistic works. Earlier in my career, I worked in exotic, adventure travel, and the Cubic evokes that feeling for me. Naturally, this nightstand became a showcase for items from that era of my life.
I have two small ironwood Bima carvings from the Tiwi Islands on my bedside watching over me as I sleep. Leaning against the wall is a framed, hand-painted tapas cloth from Espiritu Santo in Vanuatu showing the sinewy motions of native dancers.
The book I’m currently reading is D-Day Girls, written by famed travel writer, Sarah Rose. I also have a coaster with the Tennessee Williams quote,“America has only three great cities: New York, San Francisco, and New Orleans. Everywhere else is Cleveland”, and atop that is a glass etched with the words, Laissez les bon temps rouler.

I’m obsessed with my Bryant 3-drawer side table from Bungalow 5. Being in my 20s and living in New York City means not having a ton of space. The Stanford makes my bedside an extra place for storing everything from tech accessories to beauty products.
The top of my nightstand holds a couple of key essentials to my everyday life. I have a Verdura travel alarm clock that I purchased when I worked there. There’s something special about having an analog clock and it’s my excuse to visit my old team at Verdura when I need a battery change!
I always have my latest read on my nightstand. Right now I’m reading Hooked: How to Build Habit-Forming Products by Nir Ayal. I like to read a chapter or two before bed to end the day.
